8.4 Fully-reliable Data Stream

After the server had been much updated (approximately 18 days later) the remainder of the tests presented here were conducted. The test in this section is the last of the fully-reliable data stream tests, with the same parameters as before.

Although table 8.4 indicates slower general results than the test of 18 days ago, the server here is quite a bit more well behaved. The bytes acknowledged graph (figure 8.8) shows a more ideal curve than previously seen; the tail is caused by residual acknowledgments during the closing of the connection.

The real performance improvements made here affected the window sizing (figure 8.10) which still scales too quickly, but is nonetheless an improvement over the previous test's plot. The RTT distribution (figure 8.9) is still all over the map.
